Shield documentation: codex
Shield documentation: codex is part of Forg3t Shield. Shield reads what you are about to send on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok and Copilot, masks personal data and secrets on your own device before the text leaves it, and leaves you a receipt for every catch. Your own words, your history and the connector come with a Shield Annual membership.
Two moves, and nothing to remember
Shield masks what you are about to send before an AI receives it, and answers what an AI already knows about you from inside your own chat. You start both; neither ever runs on its own.
Your prompt is never uploaded to be scanned
Detection and replacement happen locally, in the extension. Shield stores the category and the decision, never your text and never the value it found.
One membership, every browser you sign in on
Your own words and patterns follow you to each browser you connect, the connector answers what AI knows about you inside ChatGPT and Claude, and your history and receipts stay yours to export or delete.
Before you start
Do I have to remember to turn it on?
No. Once the extension is connected it checks every prompt on a supported site before it is sent.
Does Shield read my conversations?
No. It reads the one prompt you are about to send, in your browser, and keeps categories and decisions rather than your words.
How is paid access billed?
The public paid offer is annual: $99 billed yearly until canceled. Enterprise is a custom annual agreement.
