Shield for lawyers
A lawyer’s prompt is not full of card numbers. It is full of the one thing that identifies a matter to anyone who can look it up: the case reference, the client, the counterparty. Shield masks those on your own device, before ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok or Copilot receives a word.
Case and docket references, in the formats courts actually use
A US district docket (1:24-cv-01234), a Türkiye esas or karar number (2024/1234 E.), a German Aktenzeichen (4 O 123/24), a French numéro de rôle, an Italian numero di ruolo. Ambiguous file numbers are caught next to the term that names them (case no, dosya no, Aktenzeichen), and an invoice or order number beside the same digits is left alone.
Your client list, in one paste
Client names, counterparties, matter codenames and internal file references are sensitive because of who you are, not because of their shape. Paste the list into My words and patterns, one per line, and Shield masks every one of them before a prompt leaves the browser. They reach your devices as salted hashes, never as plaintext, and no organization and no other user can read them.
A receipt for every catch, on the device that made it
Each decision leaves a record of what was masked, in which tool, and when: categories and counts only, never your text and never the value. You can export it or delete it. It documents what Shield did before sending; it is not a claim about what a provider stores.
Before you start
Does the text of my prompt leave the device to be scanned?
No. Detection and replacement run in the extension, in your browser. Shield keeps the category and the decision, not your words.
Can it guarantee privilege is preserved?
No, and no tool can. Shield removes the identifiers it recognises and the terms you gave it before a prompt is sent. What you type, and what you choose to send after seeing the warning, remain yours.
How is paid access billed?
Public paid plans are annual. A monthly equivalent may be shown only as a comparison.
